Managing Your Profile

Your BugSell profile helps personalize your shopping experience and makes checkout faster. Here's how to manage it.

Accessing Account Settings

  1. Click your profile icon in the top right
  2. Select Account Settings from the dropdown
  3. Navigate through the settings sections

Profile Information

Update your basic profile details:

Personal Information

  • Full name
  • Profile photo
  • Email address
  • Phone number

To update your profile:

  1. Go to Account Settings
  2. Click Edit Profile
  3. Update your information
  4. Click Save Changes

Managing Addresses

Save addresses for faster checkout:

Adding a New Address

  1. Go to Account Settings
  2. Select Addresses
  3. Click Add New Address
  4. Fill in the address details:
    • Address label (Home, Work, etc.)
    • Full name
    • Street address
    • City, State, ZIP code
    • Country
    • Phone number
  5. Click Save Address

Setting a Default Address

  • Click the star icon next to an address
  • This address will be pre-selected at checkout

Editing or Deleting Addresses

  • Click Edit to modify an address
  • Click Delete to remove an address
  • You can have up to 10 saved addresses

Email Preferences

Control what emails you receive:

Email Type Description
Order Updates Shipping and delivery notifications
Messages New messages from sellers
Promotions Sales, discounts, and special offers
Newsletter Tips, new features, curated products

To update preferences:

  1. Go to Account Settings
  2. Select Notifications
  3. Toggle each email type on or off
  4. Click Save Preferences

Payment Methods

Manage saved payment methods:

  1. Go to Account Settings
  2. Select Payment Methods
  3. View, add, or remove payment methods
  4. Set a default payment method

For security, we only store card references, not full card numbers. You can safely remove unused cards.

Order History

View all your past orders:

  1. Click My Orders from your profile menu
  2. See all orders with status
  3. Click any order for details
  4. Access tracking, receipts, and return options

Favorites & Lists

Manage your saved products:

  1. Click Favorites from your profile menu
  2. View all saved products
  3. Create lists to organize favorites
  4. Remove items you no longer want

Changing Your Email

To update your email address:

  1. Go to Account Settings
  2. Click Edit next to your email
  3. Enter your new email address
  4. Verify with your password
  5. Confirm the new email via verification link

You'll need to verify your new email before it becomes active. Check your inbox for the verification link.

Deleting Your Account

If you wish to delete your account:

  1. Go to Account Settings
  2. Scroll to Danger Zone
  3. Click Delete Account
  4. Confirm with your password
  5. Your account will be permanently deleted

Before deleting:

  • Complete any pending orders
  • Download order receipts if needed
  • This action cannot be undone
