How to Add Products

Adding products to your shop is easy! Follow these steps to create your first product listing and start selling.

  1. Go to your Seller Panel (click your profile icon in the top right, then select "Seller Panel")
  2. In the left sidebar, click on Products and Orders
  3. Click on My Products
  4. Click the orange Add Product button in the top right corner

You'll now see the 4-step product creation wizard. Let's walk through each step!

Step 1: Select Product Types

The first thing you'll see is a list of available product types (T-Shirts, Hoodies, Mugs, Posters, etc.). This is where you choose what type of products you want to sell with your design.

How to Select Product Types

  • Check the boxes next to the product types you want to create
  • You can select one or multiple product types

⚠️ Important Multi-Type Warning

If you select multiple product types, you MUST complete the listing for ALL selected types. Don't leave any type incomplete!

Example: If you're selling a design on both T-Shirts and Hoodies, select both checkboxes. You'll need to configure variants and pricing for both types in the following steps.

Pro Tip 💡

Start with just one product type if this is your first product. You can always create additional products with the same design on different types later. This keeps things simple while you're learning!

Common Mistake ❌

Don't select multiple types unless you're ready to configure all of them. If you select 5 types but only complete 1, your product won't be published.

Click "Next" when you've selected your product type(s).

Step 2: Product Details

Now you'll fill in the basic information about your product. Let's go through each field:

Product Name

Give your product a clear, descriptive name that buyers will search for.

What makes a good product name?

  • Include what it is: "T-Shirt", "Mug", "Poster"
  • Include the design theme: "Mountain Sunrise", "Coffee Culture", "Vintage Ocean"
  • Keep it under 60 characters for best display

Examples:

  • ✅ "Mountain Sunrise Landscape T-Shirt"
  • ✅ "Minimalist Coffee Culture Mug"
  • ✅ "Vintage Ocean Waves Poster"
  • ❌ "Cool Shirt" (too vague)
  • ❌ "My Awesome Design" (not descriptive)

Description

Your product description has two parts, and it's important to understand how they work together:

Part 1: Your Custom Listing Description (What You Write)

This is the text box you see in Step 2. Here's what to write:

  • What makes your product special: Is it perfect for coffee lovers? Great for home decor? A gift idea?
  • Who it's for: "Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts" or "Ideal for minimalist home decor"
  • Unique features: "Hand-drawn design" or "Inspired by Pacific Northwest landscapes"
  • Use cases: "Great for daily wear" or "Makes a thoughtful gift"

Example:

Bring the beauty of mountain sunrises into your daily life with this stunning landscape design. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, hikers, and nature lovers. This hand-drawn design captures the peaceful moment when the sun breaks over mountain peaks. Great for everyday wear or as a thoughtful gift for someone who loves the outdoors.

Part 2: Core Description from Admin (Automatically Added)

The admin has already configured a core description for each Product Type. This includes:

  • Material details (e.g., "100% cotton", "Ceramic mug")
  • Size information
  • Care instructions
  • Manufacturing details

You don't need to repeat this information! It will automatically appear below your custom description on the product page.

Pro Tip 💡

Focus on benefits, not just features. Instead of "100% cotton" (that's already in the core description), say "Soft, breathable fabric keeps you comfortable all day."

Category

Select the category that best fits your product. This helps buyers find your product when browsing by category.

Examples:

  • Apparel → T-Shirts
  • Home & Living → Mugs
  • Art & Collectibles → Posters

Why this matters: Buyers often browse by category. Choosing the right one means more people will discover your product!

Add relevant tags to help buyers find your product through search.

Examples for a Mountain Sunrise T-Shirt:

  • mountain, sunrise, landscape, nature, outdoor, hiking, adventure, scenic

Pro Tip 💡: Use 5-10 tags that describe your design, theme, and who it's for.

Shop Section (Optional)

If you've created shop sections (like "Summer Collection" or "Best Sellers"), you can organize your products into sections here.

Don't have sections yet? No problem! You can skip this and add it later. Learn more in our Managing Shop Sections guide.

Click "Next" when you've filled in all the details.

Step 3: Variants and Pricing

This is where you configure which variants (colors, sizes, materials) you want to sell and set your pricing. You'll see a separate tab for each Product Type you selected in Step 1.

Understanding Variants

Each Product Type has different variant options:

  • T-Shirts: Colors × Sizes (e.g., Red/Blue/Black in S/M/L/XL)
  • Mugs: Colors × Sizes (e.g., White/Black in 11oz/15oz)
  • Posters: Sizes × Materials (e.g., 12x18/18x24 in Matte/Glossy)

How to Enable/Disable Variants

You'll see a table showing all possible variant combinations. Here's what to do:

  1. Check the boxes next to variants you want to sell
  2. Uncheck the boxes for variants you don't want to offer

Example: If you only want to sell Red and Blue T-Shirts in sizes S, M, L (not XL), uncheck all XL variants.

Why disable variants?

  • You might not have designs that work on all colors
  • Some size combinations might not be popular
  • You want to keep your inventory manageable

Setting Prices

Each variant has a price field. Here's how pricing works:

The easiest approach is to set the same price for all variants of a product type. Just enter the price once, and it applies to all enabled variants.

Example: All T-Shirt variants cost $24.99

Custom Pricing (Advanced)

You can set different prices for different variants if needed.

Example:

  • S/M/L sizes: $24.99
  • XL/2XL sizes: $26.99 (larger sizes cost more)
  • Premium colors: $27.99 (special colors cost more)

Pro Tip 💡

How to price your products:

  1. Check what similar products sell for on the platform
  2. Consider your costs (base product cost + your profit margin)
  3. Most sellers price T-Shirts between $20-$35
  4. Mugs typically range from $12-$25
  5. Posters usually range from $15-$40

Color Customization (If Available)

Some Product Types allow you to customize colors. You'll see color pickers where you can:

  • Choose the exact color for your design
  • Set background colors
  • Adjust accent colors

This is optional - default colors work great for most products!

Common Mistake ❌

Forgetting to enable variants! Make sure you check at least one variant for each Product Type, or buyers won't be able to purchase your product.

Click "Next" when you've configured all your variants and pricing.

Step 4: Images and Settings

The final step is to upload product images and configure additional settings.

Product Images

Upload high-quality images that show your design clearly. This is the most important part of your listing!

Image Requirements

  • Minimum size: 1200×1200 pixels
  • Format: PNG or JPG
  • Background: White or transparent recommended
  • Number: At least 1 image required, up to 10 images allowed

What images to upload?

  1. Main product image: Your design on the product (front view)
  2. Additional angles: Back view, side view, close-ups
  3. Lifestyle photos: Product being used in real life (optional but recommended)
  4. Detail shots: Close-up of design quality (optional)

Pro Tip 💡

Products with high-quality images sell 40% more than products with low-quality images!

Here's what makes a great product image:

  • Clear, well-lit photos
  • Product fills most of the frame
  • Clean background (white or neutral)
  • Shows the design clearly
  • Multiple angles help buyers visualize the product

Common Mistake ❌

Using low-resolution images or photos with busy backgrounds. Buyers can't see your design clearly, so they won't buy!

Customization Options (If Available)

If the Product Type supports customization (like adding custom text or uploading a custom image), you can configure those options here.

Example: For a custom name T-Shirt, you might add:

  • A text field where buyers can enter the name they want printed
  • Character limit (e.g., 20 characters max)
  • Font selection (optional)

Don't see customization options? That means this Product Type doesn't support customization. No problem - most products don't need it!

Affiliate Settings (Optional)

If you want affiliates to promote your product and earn commissions, you can enable that here.

How Affiliate Commissions Work

  1. Enable affiliate commission: Toggle the switch to "On"
  2. Set commission percentage: Choose how much affiliates earn (typically 5-20%)
  3. Affiliates promote your product: They share special links with their audience
  4. You get sales: When someone buys through an affiliate link, you make a sale
  5. Affiliate gets paid: The affiliate earns their commission percentage

Example:

  • You set 10% commission
  • An affiliate refers a buyer who purchases your $20 product
  • You earn $18 (after $2 commission)
  • The affiliate earns $2

Pro Tip 💡

Should you enable affiliates?

  • ✅ Yes, if you want more exposure and don't mind sharing a small percentage
  • ✅ Yes, if you're new and want help promoting your products
  • ❌ No, if you already have strong sales and don't need extra promotion
  • ❌ No, if your profit margins are already tight

Most successful sellers enable affiliates at 10-15% commission.

Step 5: Review and Publish

Before clicking Create Product, take a moment to review everything:

Final Checklist ✓

  • All selected Product Types are fully configured
  • At least one variant is enabled for each type
  • Images are uploaded (high quality, 1200×1200px minimum)
  • Pricing is set correctly
  • Description is complete and compelling
  • Category and tags are set
  • Product name is clear and descriptive

Ready to Publish?

Click the green Create Product button at the bottom of the page!

What Happens Next?

Your product is now live in your shop! Here's what buyers will see:

Where Your Product Appears

  1. Your Shop: Buyers visiting your shop will see your new product
  2. Category Pages: Your product appears in the category you selected
  3. Search Results: When buyers search for keywords in your title/description/tags
  4. Homepage: New products may be featured on the homepage

How Buyers Find Your Product

  • Browsing your shop: Direct visitors to your shop
  • Searching: Keywords in your title, description, and tags
  • Category browsing: Buyers exploring specific categories
  • Affiliate links: If you enabled affiliates, they'll promote your product

Tracking Your Product Performance

Go to Seller Panel → Analytics to see:

  • How many people viewed your product
  • How many added it to cart
  • How many purchased it
  • Which variants are most popular

Pro Tips for Success 🚀

1. High-Quality Images Are Everything

Invest time in creating or sourcing great product photos. This is the #1 factor in whether buyers click "Add to Cart."

2. Write Compelling Descriptions

Don't just describe what it is - explain why someone would want it. Focus on benefits and use cases.

3. Price Competitively

Research similar products on the platform. Price too high and you won't get sales. Price too low and you won't make profit. Find the sweet spot!

4. Use All 10 Tags

Tags help buyers find your product. Use all available tag slots with relevant keywords.

5. Start with One Product Type

If you're new, create one product type first. Once you're comfortable, add more types with the same design.

6. Enable Affiliates

Let others help promote your products! A 10-15% commission is worth it for the extra exposure.

7. Update Your Products

Come back and improve your listings based on performance. Update images, tweak descriptions, adjust pricing.

Common Mistakes to Avoid ❌

1. Selecting Multiple Types Without Completing Them

If you select 3 product types but only configure 1, your product won't publish. Either complete all types or go back and uncheck the ones you don't want.

2. Forgetting to Enable Variants

You must check at least one variant checkbox for each product type. No enabled variants = buyers can't purchase!

3. Using Low-Quality Images

Blurry, small, or poorly lit images will kill your sales. Always use high-resolution images (1200×1200px minimum).

4. Vague Product Names

"Cool Design" or "My Product" won't help buyers find you. Be specific: "Mountain Sunrise Landscape T-Shirt"

5. Copying the Core Description

Don't repeat information that's already in the core description (material, care instructions). Focus on what makes YOUR product special.

6. Pricing Too High or Too Low

Research competitors! Price too high and you won't get sales. Price too low and buyers might think it's low quality.

7. Not Using Tags

Tags are free SEO! Use all 10 tag slots with relevant keywords to help buyers find your product.
